Section 9 was a typeface I designed initially in September of 2016, but didn’t finalize and release until late December of 2017. The typeface contains only vertical and horizontal bars with no curves or diagonal lines. It was designed with a futuristic science fiction computer readout or interface in mind.
The name Section 9 is a reference to Public Security Section 9 from the Ghost in the Shell franchise.
