Michael W. Moss is a writer, maker, and designer. In addition to writing science fiction, cyberpunk, fantasy, steampunk, horror, and hardboiled noir fiction, Michael designs typefaces and makes random cool stuff like crow-cawing druid staves, rickrolling digital name badges, and practical 3D prints that hold up cat toys. His typefaces have been used for an episode of Doctor Who, various indie video games, beer labels, guitar pedals, canceled board game projects, YouTube cozy game streaming channels, and German dark ambient music albums.
His cyberpunk short story Keep Portland Wired, originally published in the short fiction collection, The Trench Coat Minotaur, was republished in the anthology, The Big Book of Cyberpunk. Michael lives in Portland, Oregon with his significant other, a clowder of four cats, a covey of quail, and the murder of crows that he feeds and befriends, who also bring him cool rocks, and a random piece of broken concrete, which is also kind of cool in its own right and worth mentioning.
